We are dedicated to quality service and aim to build a strong, trusting, and respectful relationship with our clients. EPC is unique in that all of our services are customized to the client’s needs (no packages) and we implement a wide variety of resources in our sessions to equip our clients with the best tools to live their best lives!
What are your desired outcomes and goals for clients?
For our clients to learn, practice, develop, execute, and foster the mental skills necessary to achieve long term, sustainable change.
For the client to feel a sense of empowerment, confidence and autonomy in discovering and implementing solutions to their challenges/opportunities.
To enhance each client’s quality of life by way of encouragement, positivity, and support.
What’s EPC's Philosophy?
EPC takes a holistic, humanistic, person-centered approach to working with clients. We believe that as humans, we are performing constantly throughout our daily lives– whether you’re going to school or going to work, working out, going through your to-do list- and in order to perform at your best each day, one must find a balance and interconnectedness between the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual realms of life. We believe that once a person is equipped with the tools to find this balance, they are giving themselves the best possible chance to achieve their goals and make long term, sustainable change.
What are EPC’s core values?
Honesty, integrity, open communication, and ethical behavior are at the foundation of EPC. Our commitment to creating a safe, trusting environment where individuals and groups feel that they can be themselves is paramount in our consulting sessions with clients. We are continuously striving to better our practice by way of experience, continuing education, and keeping up to date with recent research and respective industry trends. The services offered at EPC are designed to give clients both concrete and abstract skills to improve their own lives as well as the lives of others.
Do you take insurance?
We do not take insurance.
What are your payment options?
Venmo, Zelle, Paypal, Cash App, Cash or Check.
What’s your cancellation policy?
There is a 24 hour cancellation policy.
What’s the difference between a life coach and a therapist?
Therapists are generally more focused on diagnosing a problem, exploring one’s past, are problem-oriented, and they value healing. Life coaches help define goals, give direction, are solution-oriented, develop potential, and improve performance.
What does the first one-on-one session look like?
In the first session, coaches get to know their clients! They will talk with them about what brought them to EPC, their goals, and discuss anything else that the client would like to share with their coach.
When can I expect to achieve my goals?
There is no quick fix and there is no guarantee that coaching= goals achieved/success! However, if you participate in sessions, take the initiative, and utilize the tools suggested by your coach, you can expect change. Everyone’s goals will look different and everyone’s definition of success is different. Progress is not necessarily linear. Sometimes you have to take two steps back to go one step forward, but we are primarily concerned with the systems (or environments) you’re setting your goals in. We want you to set yourself up for success! Goals are important, but if you have the right systems in place, you will build better habits that will contribute to long-term, sustainable change.
A note on payment & sliding scale:
What is a sliding scale?
A capitalist system determines our financial access and value by race, perceived gender identity, disability/ability, immigration status, and/or primary language among many other systems of imposed hierarchy. There is no exact formula that determines what each of us can afford, because income is not the only determining factor. For example, your relationship to money might also be affected by being a caregiver, your access to generational wealth, and/or costs related to a disability.
A sliding scale is used to encourage people to pay according to their available resources. Those with greater financial privilege contribute more, allowing those with less access, to pay according to their means. This allows the business to sustain its services while making accessibility as broad as possible.
How do I choose what to pay?
The Green Bottle chart below expands our understanding of financial privilege and experience. Please use it to determine the level you’re able to invest. See below for image description:
